jackknife-fish or ( locally called spotted drum) (equetus lancealatus) juvenile. Juveniles of the species are a highly entertaining sight, darting about, trailing a spectacular dorsal fin that resembles a banner waving in the wind. Most often found at the base of coral heads, Cozumel, Mexico.
